Dillard-Jones Builders' to Open 2008 Southern Living® Custom Builder Show House for Holiday Tours

GREENVILLE, SC - Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC has announced that its 2008 Southern Living® Custom Builder Show House will open to the public in December for holiday tours. The house is under construction in Tuscany Falls, a planned community on Scuffletown Road in Greenville.

Dillard-Jones Builders was named a member of the Southern Living® Custom Builder Program in 2006, and is among only 100 homebuilders nationwide that have the designation. Dillard-Jones' first Southern Living® Custom Builder Show House in Griffith Farm drew more than 2,500 visitors last September.

The Southern Living® plan selected for the 2008 Holiday Show House is Walker's Bluff by residential designer Rick Gary. This 4,035-square-foot house was Southern Living's 2002 Texas Idea House, and features a mix of materials and design elements that blend bungalow, country, and Southern influences. The four-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom house will feature a brick and stone exterior, front porch with seating area, covered patio with terrace, a balcony off the master suite, and a three-car side entry garage. Interior features include a dining room with butler's pantry, family room with vaulted barrel ceiling and stone fireplace, two-story study, open kitchen and breakfast room, learning center, media room, fitness center, and wine cellar.

The fully decorated Show House will be open to the public Dec. 6-7, Dec. 11-14 and Dec. 18-21 in Phase I of Tuscany Falls, a community opening with 104 home sites and amenities including a clubhouse with movie theater, large lagoon style pool with lazy river, soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, and 30 acres of parks, waterfalls and nature trails.

Consumers can follow the progress of the Dillard-Jones Holiday Show House and learn about events planned during the three-week tour beginning in September at Greenville Online and in Sunday editions of The Greenville News. Special tour events will include wine tastings, candlelight tours, Realtor luncheons, and child safety days with visits from Santa.
