Thomas Dillard, founder and president of Dillard-Jones Builders LLC,
has earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation from the
National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The Certified Green
Professional program recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry
professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes
without driving up the cost of construction. CGP coursework teaches
residential homebuilders how to reduce environmental impact by
incorporating appropriate green practices into their construction
projects.
Greenville-based Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC has long used green
building products and techniques such as Low-E windows, high-efficiency
heating and cooling systems, and low-impact site development in its
building projects. Last May, the company adopted ENERGY STAR® standards
for all of its new home construction.
Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC specializes in custom residential
construction ranging from the $500,000’s to more than $2 million. The
company presently is building in several Upstate communities including
Claremont, The Cliffs Valley, The Cliffs at Keowee Springs, The Cliffs
at Mountain Park, The Cliffs at Falls South, LedgeStone, The River
Reserve and Southampton. A member of the Southern Living Custom Builder
Program, Dillard-Jones Builders was named the 2009 Southern Living
Custom Builder Member of the Year becoming the first South Carolina
homebuilder to be so named.
